How we're structured, funded, and governed — in plain language.
Social Governance System Inc. is a Delaware non-stock nonprofit corporation (incorporated June 26, 2026), organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Our mission is to develop and advance an international framework for accountable, participatory governance — through research, education, public engagement, and the development of open governance tools and standards.
Social Governance System Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
Contributions to Social Governance System Inc. are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Donors receive a receipt for their records. Consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation.
We are funded through three sources, all applied exclusively to our mission:
No private benefit. No part of our net earnings benefits any private individual. Any compensation paid to officers or staff is limited to reasonable amounts for services actually rendered, approved by a disinterested majority of our Board of Directors.
Our affairs are overseen by a Board of Directors operating under adopted Bylaws, including a conflict-of-interest policy. Meet the team →
